Econica offers high quality custom-made & ready-to-ship clothing and lingerie. To ensure our services meet your expectations, please read the following policies carefully before placing your order.
PROCESSING TIME, EXCHANGES & ALTERATIONS
Our current processing time for custom-made orders is 4-6 weeks plus shipping.
We offer basic alterations such as hemming. We do not offer in depth tailoring such as taking in as pinned or design changes, we recommend a local tailor for this level of alteration. Please review our Size Chart carefully before placing your order, as we are not able to make garments bigger or add length later.
We offer exchanges for store credit in the amount of the garment purchase cost minus a 20% restocking fee if Alteration/Return Request Form ( here ) is completed within 7 DAYS post marked original receiving date.
We are not able to make direct exchanges for another garment because all of Econica's garments are handmade to order. Once you receive your store credit you can use it to purchase your garment with the changes you would like to make.
Exchange Garment must be unworn, unwashed, and pass inspection once returned to our studio before credit is given. We cannot accept damaged, soiled, or garments with pet hair. Return shipping cost is covered by the buyer.
Special Request Garments, Intimates, Sale Items, Hand-dyed, Altered, and Garments purchased with Store Credit are not eligible for exchange. No more than 3 garments can be exchanged within 360 days and we reserve the right to refuse future sales if this offer is abused.
Sale garments are discounted and marked down below their full retail value. Because of this, we cannot afford to process store credit exchanges for these items. The time it takes to receive return packages, inspect items, issue store credit, prepare for re-listing, and then packing and shipping once again makes it unsustainable for us to accept returns on these categories.
If your Sale Item has not shipped yet, we can cancel it for a refund, but once it has shipped it becomes final sale. If you are unsure about a purchase of a final sale item, please reach out to us ahead of time so we can help answer any questions you might have.
Because all our garments marked "custom-made" are in fact custom handmade to order we do not offer refunds.

Econica passionately stands behind the quality of each and every garment. If your garment (stitching or material) has a mistake, flaw, or we accidentally sent you the wrong garment we apologize for our misstep and we’re happy to fix that mistake or replace garment if Returns Request Form here is completed within 7 DAYS of post marked original receiving date. Garment(s) must be unworn and unwashed. We are not able to offer refunds for mistakes, but are happy to either fix mistake or remake item. We cannot guarantee that you will like your garment, like the length (1-2 inch variation in the length is acceptable due to hand-cut nature), like the fit, or like the colour – we do not consider these a garment flaw. Because all body types are different and people with the same measurements can look drastically different in the same garment we cannot guarantee you will look the same as the model in the photo. We encourage you to take advantage of our complimentary fabric swatch kit prior to committing to custom-made garment as we are not able to accept returns or exchanges if you do not like the material of your custom-made garment upon receiving your order.
All Alteration Form requests must be submitted within 7 days of the delivery confirmation.
All merchandise must be unwashed and unwornall garments are subject to inspectionoutgoing shipping charges are not refundedbuyer is responsible for all customs and import feespanties are final sale and are not eligible for alterations for hygienic reasons.
IMPORTANT: All sale items, face masks, panties or sets with panties are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Note about natural wool/cashmere items.
Wool and Silk are protein-based fabrics, as opposed to cotton fabrics which are cellulose-based. Protein-based fibers are very soft and contain lanolin - a natural softener which keeps it smooth and silky. Lanolin has a very mild but pleasant smell, which usually disappears after a couple of washes.If you are unsure of your size, drop us an emailand we will be happy to help.
If you change your mind about an order you have placed with us, please contact our Customer Service as quickly as possible. We offer a rush order upgrade (2 business days), please contact us for a fee.
We can only cancel an order within 24 hours, after that all sales cannot be cancelled or amended.
PAYMENT & ORDER PROCESSING

OUR CUSTOM-MADE COLLECTION:
All of Econica Apparel Collection is custom-made. Once an order is placed, we will custom-make your item based on your size/measurements and color choice. Please allow 2-6 weeks (more time may be needed during busy holiday weeks) to complete your custom and (made-to-order) item order, providing we have your measurements and other additional information if needed.
OUR READY-MADE COLLECTION:
Items marked as "ready-to-ship" are pre-made and cannot be altered or customized. Please allow up to 3-12 business days to process and dispatch your order for ready-to-ship items.
Shipping confirmation will be emailed to you when your order is dispatched. It will take 1-4 weeks for your package to reach you but due to each country's customs procedures the time will vary. We do not guarantee on-time delivery. Delivery times are an estimate only and highly depend on customs, post office workload and holidays.
How to care for your cashmere & wool clothing and lingerie.
Contrary to popular belief cashmere and merino wool clothing and lingerie can be washed.
Follow these simple instruction on how to care for your cashmere and wool garments, so that your favourite pieces last longer and look fabulous.
Your unique Econica wool garment was created with love and should be cared for with love, too. Washing your wool and cashmere properly actually helps to preserve the fibres and natural lanolin.
To hand-wash, add two capfuls or a squirt of your favourite Wool & Cashmere detergent (we recommend Eucalan) to a wash basin or sink filled with cool water. Submerge your items and gently agitate them with your hands to evenly distribute soap and water. Soak for up to 30 minutes. Run cool water through items until rinse water is no longer soapy. Do not wring, which causes distortion. Instead, gently press the water out of your items between your hands or against the sink.
If you must wash in the machine, we strongly recommend using mesh washing bags.To machine wash, turn items inside out and place them in a Mesh Washing Bag to protect them from agitation and friction that can cause matting, shrinking, and pilling. Select the wools or delicate cycle on your washing machine and make sure the water temperature is cold and the spin is on low. Add Wool Detergent according to the machine type and load size. Removing knits promptly from the washer once the cycle is complete to reduce creasing.
Lay the items flat in their natural shape on a drying rack or clean towel. When drying, avoid direct sunlight and heat sources, such as the radiator, because they can shrink or damage wool. Never hang wet wool as it will cause stretching and distortion.
Bamboo, Hemp & Organic cotton Clothing Care.
Natural Fibre Clothing, such as Organic Cotton, Linen or Hemp will maintain their special qualities when washed in cold to warm water (up to 40 degrees Celsius) with a gentle detergent, free of bleach. Natural fabrics such as organic cotton and bamboo blends can be dried in a clothes dryer on the cool/warm setting, never hot.
Silk Garment Care.
Silk is a delicate fabric and should be handled with care.
However, it is fairly easy to clean. It has a natural tendency to release dirt quickly and it can be gently hand-washed to keep its’ quality and lustre.
Hand wash separately in cool water with mild soap.
Do not soak, twist or wring.
Blot dry with a towel and drip dry in shade.
